During a recent trip to Mono Lake, I decided to shoot the Tufas under the Milky Way. I figured the unique landscape combined with the galaxy in the sky would give the photo an other-worldly look like something taken on an alien planet. During one of the exposures, someone walked up behind me and the red LED from their headlamp shone all over the Tufas turning them pink. I had thought the exposure was wasted, but when I got home and looked at it I thought it actually gave it a cool, yet different look.
I decided to name this photo “Pretty In Pink”.
I figured that it only made sense that since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I would donate half of the profits from all sales of this print to Breast Cancer Research. This will be a special 100 print limited edition. Please click on the link below to purchase you copy and help support this good cause.
