From awe inspiring grand landscapes to the stunning creations of man, and from the beauty of nature to the wonders of wildlife, the world around us amazes Aaron. It is this amazement that makes him want to photograph our world. Aaron’s art mainly focuses on landscapes, astrophotography and time-lapse films.
As Aaron states, “I believe that my photographs should convey to the viewer, in a natural way, the beauty and wonder of the scene as if he or she was standing there with me. With that in mind, each photograph is carefully selected – both before I shoot it and after I process it – to ensure it properly conveys the emotion of the scene.”
Ansel Adams once said, “Some photographers take reality… and impose the domination of their own thought and spirit. Others come before reality more tenderly and a photograph to them is an instrument of love and revelation.” It is that second viewpoint that Aaron strives for in his work.
Aaron shoots with both digital and film camera systems. His digital photographs are shot with a Canon EOS Digital SLR camera. Currently, he is shooting with a pair of Canon 6D bodies and a variety of Canon and Rokinon lenses. For film, Aaron uses a Wista 45DX large format field camera.
Aaron’s photography and time-lapses have been featured by CBS News, CNN, The Today Show, MSNBC, Huffington Post and other outlets. Originally from the East Coast, Aaron is based in Los Angeles and offers photo tours and workshops at www.CAPhotoTours.com.
